June 2024 Update from Ally Perleoni

Hello & Happy July!

We’re in the thick of the summer heat here in DC. Keeping up with the demands of work and daily life is always a bit of a struggle for me this time of year. Luckily, I find a lot of peace and grounding through my yoga practice, which helps me make the most of these sticky days. I’ll be tailoring my classes all month to this theme - thank yourself for showing up, and give yourself the grace to have the practice your body feels ready for.

Despite this attempted zen-like approach, I can’t stop thinking about the cool weather that fall will bring, especially since I’m co-hosting a retreat in Vermont this October. I am so excited for a weekend of great company, energizing practices, wellness workshops, and a little sight-seeing. We have just a couple of spaces left, so if you want to come, let’s chat soon! If you’re local to the area, we’ve also got a couple day passes left!

Fire and Foliage - A women’s wellness retreat

To know me is to know that I love Vermont. I frequented Vermont as a child, attended UVM, and return back a few times each year. Vermont holds an incredibly special place in my heart, and I’m so excited to share it with you!

I’m hosting a women’s retreat with Mimi Rieger and Meg Perleoni (my sister!) this fall in Stowe, Vermont at the beautiful Sterling Forest Lodge from Oct. 3-6. Join us for an amazing long weekend of nourishing food, invigorating yoga practices, hydrotherapy, holistic skincare, and fellowship with other women - all set among the beautiful backdrop of the Green Mountains during peak foliage!

It’s Cancer Season - Let’s flow!

Join my sister Megan and I for a Cancer-themed yoga class at Mimi Rieger Yoga on July 12 from 6-7:30 pm. During this class we will embrace the emotional depth and nurturing energy of Cancer through a practice that encourages introspection and self-care. Soothing flows honor Cancer's sensitivity, fostering a sense of emotional stability and self-compassion. With poses that focus on the heart center and nurturing oneself, we invite you to connect deeply with your emotions and create a safe space for self-reflection. Post-session, join us for reflective journaling and contemplation, harnessing Cancer's nurturing energy to explore self-love, personal growth, and emotional healing.

New Class Series - Yoga Foundations

Yoga Foundations: Build your practice from the ground up

Join me for a transformative 4-class series at MINT Gym designed to empower beginners and seasoned yogis alike. Held every Saturday from July 27 to August 17, from 1:10pm to 2:10pm, this class will help you get the most out of your practice!

In each 60-minute session, you'll explore:

  • Fundamental Poses: Learn proper alignment and technique.

  • Breath Techniques: Discover the art of linking breath with movement.

  • Mindful Practice: Cultivate inner calm and holistic wellness.
